Healthcare Reform – Tuesday, July 13, 2010
After decades of failed attempts, President Obama signed legislation on March 23, 2010 to overhaul the nation’s healthcare system and guarantee access to medical insurance for tens of millions of Americans. The plan of healthcare reform is to make health care more affordable, make health insurers more accountable, expand health coverage to all Americans and make the health system sustainable, stabilizing family budgets, the Federal budget and the economy. There are many unanswered questions for healthcare professionals and the public. How are we affected and how do we begin to cover medical care in a diverse population are just a couple of the questions we might explore.
